How to Vote

Voting for the Clarington 2022 Municipal Elections will take place electronically by internet and telephone. Clarington voters can cast their votes any time, from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, until 8 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022.

Here are the two steps to follow in order to vote in our election.

Step 1: Confirm that you are on the voter’s list:

Your name and information needs to appear on the voters’ list in order to vote in this election. Everyone on the voters’ list, will receive a voter information letter by mail in late September or early October 2022. The letter will provide detailed instructions on how to vote during the Voting Period (October 18 to 24).

If you do not receive a voter information letter. Contact the Municipal Clerk’s Division at 905-697-4747 to add your name to the list. If you find errors in your information, it is important to get the information corrected as it might affect who you can vote for.  You can correct them online or by contacting the Clerk’s Division. If you experience any problems getting on the voters’ list, or changing incorrect information, please call Mayor Adrian Foster’s re-election team at 905-439-8613 and a team member will be happy to help you resolve the issue that you are having.

Step 2: Vote by internet or by phone from Tuesday October 18th 10:00 am to Monday October 24th at 8:00 pm :
